» Poem: Take a walk in my shoes, Mom. |
Take a walk in my shoes, Mom.
written by TAINTEDSOULisBACK04:43 AM 12/17/04Every single word I say,
every single thing I do,
never seems like enough for you.
Why can't you just take things as they come?
Why aren't you ever satisfied?
Is there a reason you never ratify,
anything I do?
Contradicting is your second nature,
and bitching is your first.
If water was kindness,
you'd probably die of thrist.
And if I happened to do something
and just happened to place in first,
you'd probably sit back
and say that I was the worst,
that I bribed the judges, or cheated.
How would you feel if everything you won,
still felt like you were defeated?
How would you like it
if someone told you
you wouldn't amount
to a pile of shit?
That you'd never accomplish
anything at all,
that every step you take,
you're destined to fall?
Take a walk in my shoes Mom,
take a few steps.
See how it feels to always lose,
and feel every fucking tear I've wept. |

My mom is actually really great. I wrote this from a friend of mine's perspective. His mom is a bitch. Not just to me, but to him as well. Please comment, I'm sure many people feel this way. [ View TAINTEDSOULisBACK's Profile ] [ Go to the Poetry Portal ] This Poem has been viewed 181 times
