» Poem: endless slumber
endless slumber
written by melons
04:16 PM 12/17/04
As the smoke rises
Laughter fills the room
The warmth of the fire
Can’t warm my heart
The icy grip of winter
Sank into my heart
It felt like home

Alone in the big wide world
Just longing to be found
Invisible to all who can see
Only the once that walk with dead
Can see my face
Can see my sorrow

Half dead half alive
Those handsome brown eyes
Calm my soul
In my dreams I see him
This time he is real
Holding me throughout the night
I will never awake from thins endless slumber
