» Poem: Amber Frost
Amber Frost
written by Lothiriel
02:26 AM 12/18/04
Beneath the sinister skies of forget-me-nots
Broken trees in fall's full bloom
She lies beneath the stones of rock
receding to exist no more
The hair it grows in death
spinning webs and weaves in frost
far below the would be living
far below the ever greiving
burning quaintly and ever deceiving
So charmingly beautiful she lies
So striking is she in death
Stillness in the amber frost
far below and veiled
She lies far beneath the gumdrops of forget-me-nots
pillowed beneath her skull
Bones now chipped and marred from time
Flushed from winter's heat
Growing older, she stares forever
awaiting to befall the amber frost
