One day...
written by Trapezium01:26 PM 12/18/04One day I walked to the place I called home,
Tears fell from my eyes, and blood fell from my wrists,
I was pale that night, white like a a ghost,
My eyes were shadowed from the cold dark mist.
I unlocked the door and walked up the stairs,
In the dark I clambered, saw a shadow on the bed,
I turned on the light and everything glowed crimson,
Then I saw myself lying there unmoving and dead.
Fiona walked in with beautiful tears in her eyes,
And she knelt down beside me, kissed my hand,
She sat there crying, and I knew what I'd done wrong,
I walked out feeling nothing but the pain I could not stand.
I ran to the graveyard and saw my name on the stone,
Crimson lettering said "Alone to the end",
I sat there crying as people just walked past,
No one could see me anymore, I have not one freind.
I thought that by dying my pain would disappear,
But now I know it's just watching the pain your death brought,
Not being able to tell your love it's alright,
Not being able to do anything, death's not what I thought.
So I'll survive another day and kiss my love goodnight,
Never will I say goodbye 'cause I can't leave this place,
I will always fight for life, and fight for so much more,
Just please let me go on, if it's just to see her face.
To see her face when she smiles and knows it's all ok,
To kiss her and tell her I'll never be gone,
Never before my death did I realise what it'd do,
And never did I realise just how brightly the sun shone. |
