Drop
written by Rogue_10104:35 AM 12/20/04A drop falls from the sky and leaves a mark on the ground. Another falls and runs after its brother, as if to follow him forever. The drop shatters like glass upon the ground and is never to be seen again. The drops fall faster and faster as the heavens open up like a door into a house. The ground hisses and cools as the drops blanket the earth as if it were a new born child. But still the first drop remains, its imprint in the ground forever there, a reminder that the rains will always come.
The rain stops and leaves the earth to dry. Out comes a rainbow, a good sign, a sign that the earth will never be flooded again and that everything can go about as it always has. The imprint still remains as a tattoo on the earths skin, adding to all the others that have hit the ground around it. |
