» Poem: Smartass Syndrome
Smartass Syndrome
written by Lothiriel

Laughing
I'm laughing at you
Living
right there with you
Crying
I'm crying for you
Dying
I'm dying there beside you

I think I'm going crazy
Nah, I'm already there
And in my hell
I bounce the padded walls
that confine my cell
But on the outside you'd never tell
I'm anything but well

I hide behind my mask of integrity
Hold back my inferiority
You could never tell I'm not all the way there
(if you know what I mean)
Remember memories fade
and you'll be just another gone away

Dying
I'm dying there beside you
Leaving
as I'm walking out the door for good
