Self Defeat
written by Lothiriel06:41 AM 12/21/04She hurts me
Steals my breath and leaves me bare
for what I do not know
nor do I care
If I push this pain and agony aside
just for a moment
I may finally see
But if it's too bright
could I go back to my sin
degrading myself again
My pride
gone
Lost somewhere inside of what I once knew
If only time could take me back
to another place
another time
When I was happy to step out into the rain
and not look up and know that it's trying to wash me away
Love
a devastating punishment
what have I done to deserve this?
I take you as mine
vile, ever-wanting, ever-taking
always faking
if this is your idea of love you can keep it
I'm through
My mind
I say the words
scream as I clutch my fists
But that will not change a thing
It will not make you disappear
It will not release me
You will not release me
You
You say I cannot hear you
that the words just don't come through
You keep me here for your taking
You smile as you hang up the phone
Leaving me pleading, bleeding
crying and dying on the inside
You bitch
Can you hear this?
get out of my head |

“this wonderful piece was written for
“6 foot tall and bulletproof” Sarah,
I don’t take the blame for your loss.
I merely helped him stay sane through it.”
