» Poem: Someone You Do Not Know
Someone You Do Not Know
written by Lothiriel
06:48 AM 12/21/04
Let me in on the little secrets
of your how’s and why’s
Let me ask of you these questions
Parading lines trade places with my eyes
Of how I see you and why
And if my fortune shows no gain
Then I will have lost nothing at all
Still to each other, we know nothing at all

So few years have passed
We should have thought that we knew everything by now
After all the things that we have gone through
All the times we swore we would stand our ground
or die trying
And look at it now
In a comparison to so few years ago,
I am now someone you do not know

Odd days show the brilliance that was us
On evens we show no love
though we should have thought that we didn’t need to say it
If seeing is believing, then I can’t believe
You are someone I do not know
