the scars have faded now,
but my wrist has an itch,
only a razor blade can scratch.
my pain makes me remember
the relief I used to have,
by just picking up a razor and cuttung.
It's an awesome feeling
when the blood runs from your veins.
those memories run through my mind
all the time. I wish these X's were still visible
especially the time I cut deep,
the feeling was so incredible,
so lovely, I've never felt so free.
I wasn't afraid, as I watched
the blood run fast,
I was amazed, and relieved.
I thought that night was my last,
but someone came out of the shadows
and rescued me. This person has never
lost my trust, or lied to me.
she has always been by myside,
through thick and thin,
for the last 6 years of my life.
She is my best friend.
If it weren't for her,
I wouldn't be alive today,
and I thank her for all she's done,
and all she continues to do.
but, as much as she's helped me,
I still feel the urge to cut again.
I still want all this pain to end,
and I know no other way,
to make it go away.
these hidden X's want to be reminded,
and beg me to let it taste the razor again,
but they still stay hidden,
these X's yell and scream,
but I hold back, I keep blocking out
the sounds, trying to drown them
with my music....I'm in control now,
but will I stay this strong? |
