» Poem: Nearly there
Nearly there
written by Trapezium

When I breathe there's ice in my breath,
That breath is discoloured and red,
The blood from my soul just tears away,
It rips apart a piece of me.

The razorblades they cut my throat,
And blood trickles slowly down my neck,
Freeze - the crimson just turns to crystal,
And they say blood is thicker than water.

Life's like a butterfly,
For every flap of wings there's a tornadoe,
The flapping is so peaceful and almost unnoticed,
But the tornadoe just ruins everything.

Everything that's "supposed to be"
Is never ever meant from the start,
Every time you're "getting closer",
You're just drifting further away.

I know you must be blinded by actions of the past,
But can't you see that this answer's wrong?
People say their heart is whole again,
When it's just falling further down.

Love is the thunder of the emotions,
So powerful, so hurtful and so strong,
It seems so beautiful but it always goes wrong,
So can't you just fight the thunder?

The closer you are to the light,
The bigger the shadow becomes,
So when you're feeling your complete worst,
Just remember you're nearly there.
