Firedance (perfect christmas)
written by Trapezium05:25 PM 12/22/04Fire flickers infront of me,
And it's reflected in my eyes,
A crimson-yellow warming glow,
It bellows to the skies.
The wind blows the flames,
And trees come crashing down,
Smashing burning asphalt roofs,
Can you hear the crackling sound?
Everything just blows up,
Like a red ultima explosion,
Sparks are flying everywhere,
Dust falls in slow motion.
The wind blows ever faster,
And the clouds are nearing black,
Filled with smog the gail blows harder,
Can you hear a crack?
Flash - the lightning crashes down,
And thunder rumbles overhead,
Striking buildings until they fall,
I wonder how many are dead.
A tornadoe flies in from the east,
That's why the wind was so strong,
But why is there no rain?
Can you hear the thunder's song?
The ground shakes violently,
And leaves a gaping crevasse,
Whole buildings are plunged into it's depths,
Flying shattered glass.
Doors are slamming and,
Windows are flying,
I don't think it can get any worse,
Can you hear the babies crying?
Water smashes free from the dam,
It bursts downstream so fast,
It puts the fire out but the flood is even worse,
It rips out all the plants, the grass.
All the surviving buldings,
Are swept down in the water,
What a way to start the day,
Can you hear the breaths getting shorter?
What a perfect christmas,
I guess it'll teach us not to lie,
Not to think materials will bring happiness,
To teach us not to cry.
If we just focus on our emotions,
We wont need presents at all,
Foolish people, objects are sad,
Aren't you glad we had this fall?
Maybe it made you realise,
That happiness isn't an object
It's an emotion in a little box,
That feelings cannot reject.
So why base a day on objects,
Hoping it'll stop us being sad,
Stop and think about what you're doing,
Do you think the kids are truly glad? |
