I can't see what it is,
but something is keeping us
from taking another step forward.
It's only going backwards.
Has the path we are to take ended?
or is somthing in the way
will things get better,
or do they have to get
worse first?
will the lies continue,
will the trust return,
is all this pain worth it?
I still hurt, my heart is still broken,
with no attmpt to mend.
tears form behind my eyes,
but I do not cry.
forgiveness has been given,
many times,
but trust has to be earned.
there are a lot of things,
that need to be worked on,
to make this relationship work.
we jumped off the last cliff
and landed safely,
with only cuts and bruises
but there's more we have to get through,
another cliff,
this one's longer down,
a greater fall, with
sharper rocks,
can we make it?
we'll never know,
till be try,
so hold my hand tight,
don't let go......
