Nostalgic Compromise
written by Tessin
07:57 AM 12/24/04
Slave the day in endless drought, two months without the water.
Keep the promises you made me doubt, and all the things we thought her.
Missing peices without a puzzle, impossiblity manifest.
Finding gemstones in the rubble, Silver chains we liked the best.
Sinai in your coffe, Immune to poison lips.
Until one day they caught my eye, fresh carvings on your hips.
Words were always your ocean, a pen always your vessel.
Easy to get lost in them, Staring up at the flowered trestle.
A look here a movement there, reminds me of the few good times.
Assemle roadblocks everywhere, my only solice found in my rhymes.
Idifferent eyes can break a smile, we all know who holds that key.
Let me rest here just a while, wipe away your tears for free.
