» Poem: Roses On Vacation
Roses On Vacation
written by Tessin
07:57 AM 12/24/04
Winter kills more than flowers, Half the workload, half the pay.
Forgotten promises and happy hours, forced to rememember, once a day.
Frosty evenings, freezing dawn.
She'll wake up wasted on the neighbors lawn.
Lost your shimmer, lost her shine,
Like a reefer? Perhaps some wine?
Ride to school, Fascist enterprise,
Waste of every weekday sunrise.
Sing your praises, cry your tears,
borrow my mask, fool your peers.
Cut a chain, break a sheild,
dont think you'll ever have to yeild?
Grab a banner, cheer you on,
not another faceless pawn.
Make your way, pave a path.
How long can acid lipstick last?
Winter winds, turn and see,
no more luck, it wasn't me.
