» Poem: My Sandstorm is Resting
My Sandstorm is Resting
written by Tessin
07:59 AM 12/24/04
I'm in a painting done whilst artist high and sleepy.
Smoke in circles spun, Vanilla makes me weary...
Everlost the stars, no longer brews the coffee.
Moving on to bars, the caramel and toffee.
I miss those old days... has it been a year?
everything a gamble, yet the stakes were always clear.
Invisible moonlight in a backlit city,
cant find the romance, sure it was pretty.
I found peace inside a garden, olden houses dreary.
Silver were the smiles until the lips grew leery.
Everyone is changing, moving far and near.
Cobwebs on the swords, always brings a tear.
Nothing left to fight for, never got to try.
Nothing here worth dying for, pretty lips that lie.
My desert is this moment, oasis my mirage.
wind up like a ragdoll, lost in the garage.
Never were the good old days, whose were they to give?
Vask in silver moon rays, the only way to live.
