Wolf (written for Rob)
Eyes glinting on a moonlight night
He’ll give the innocent a hell of a fright
By day one way, by night another
When the full moon strikes
Take heed, take cover,
Razor-sharp teeth to slash your soul
And steal away your life,
Here he is, the king of the night
No one but him to hear your plight
The Wolf, The one,
The man, the beast.
On your body he will feast,
You can run, you can hide,
But he will hunt you down,
You can run, you can hide,
But to live is,
To die.
Claws like needles, sharper than steel
Matted black fur, he’s looking for a meal
For your life you will plead
He’s indifferent to your screams
He once was a man
But now he’s a beast
Never from this quest will he cease
The eternal hunger burning in him
He’ll rip you apart
Limb by limb.
The Wolf, The one,
The man, the beast.
On your body he will feast,
You can run, you can hide,
But he will hunt you down,
You can run, you can hide,
But to live is,
To die.
So watch out when the full moons high,
And the land is dark,
When you hear his cry,
Feel a chill in your heart.
