grans grave

Went to visit you today
I had a picture of you in my mind
I choked up and didn’t no what to say
You went away and left me behind

I lie at night thinking of you and I cry myself to sleep
You could always see straight past my lies
Thinking of you when I’m counting sheep
You’re the only one who hears me cries

All those tubes on your face
Couldn’t you at least try?
But then you went in that dark wooden case
I didn’t even say goodbye

Went to visit today
I had a picture of you in my mind
I choked up and didn’t no what to say
You went away and left me behind

Over these past few years
I have shed endless amount of tears
It’s time to move on like I don’t care
‘cause I’m going to join you up there
