The Land of Dreams

Crimson waves upon a golden shore
Falling inch by inch a little more
The land of dreams awaits
through an open door
The Seraphim's library full
of undiscovered enigmas,
something to explore.
Only in dreams can we find
the words to grace this ugly place
The sky glows blue and paints its image
upon your face
Fields wait with flowers of sapphire,
emerald, diamond, and more
Any passing visitor would stare
in wonder at the cure
Beyond this a foreboding shadowy cave
where nightmares are kept
Where sorrow thrives
when there are no more tears
to be wept
Where the rivers run cold,
the water is deep
The moss lingers,
unready to creep
Where the water drips
and becomes a melancholy song
And all the words it sings,
just seem so wrong
Where every broken heart
lies shattered Pieces of love,
all bruised and battered
Beyond all happiness and sorrow
is a place created for you
and me Where we've always been
and will always be Here,
the sun doesn't shine quite
so bright But the stars above
illuminate the night.
The stars dip down and dance like fireflies.
Its the reflection of happiness
I see in your eyes.
The stars rise up
and their reflection
in the water dies down
But the memory stays
where my heart is bound.
I watch the waves ripple,
the tiniest waves
Crashing on the golden shores
just beyond the hollow caves.
Beyond the happiness,
sorrow, and gloom
Is a place for us
where in the silver moonlight,
the flowers start to bloom.
Their petals reveal a million threads
of light Weaving themselves into a spider web
to illuminate the night I created a place,
somewhere in my heart
As long as you re there,
well never part Beyond Atlantis,
El Dorado or any palaces
the world can boast
Is a place more beautiful
beyond a golden crimson coast
But its a place they'll never find
Because this land exists only in our minds. |
