» Poem: Forever Gone
Forever Gone
written by CemetaryDrive

I'm all alone.
Lost in this world.
No clue where I'm going.
Or where I'm at.
There's no one to find me.
No one to hear my calls for help.
Not one person around.
Nothing.
The peace is dreadful.
I can't take the silence.
Can't take the lonliness.
But still, nothing.
The dreadful silence.
Is burned into my skin.
Seeping into my soul.
My calls stir the silence.
They echo through the emptiness.
But still, nothing.
No movement.
No sound.
Nothing but the beating of my heart.
The world is blowing past me.
My mind racing.
The sound of rushing blood.
That sound.
So dreadful.
I scream.
I scream at the top of my lungs.
But there's no noise.
No sound coming out.
Nothing but the gentle thump thump thump
Of my guilty heart.
