A Different World

Everything’s a blur
Nothing’s mine
They took it all away
Left me with nothing
Screaming at a locked door
I’m trapped
The walls close in on me
I’m taken to a different world
One of only black and white
Nothing divides truth and lies
The people are scarce
They aren’t friendly
They scream at me to go away
I wonder
Was this how I was?
I’m sorry for how I am
I can’t change
I try so hard
But I just end up falling
Further away from who I once was
Into the arms of my captures |
