» Poem: It might have been
It might have been
written by whatShouldUsBe

Once you find the certain thing
that makes you fly
dance and sing
don't let it go
for of all the sad words
of tongue or pen
the saddest are these
it might have been
it might have been pointless
yet so wonderful
not seeming a bit hopeless
but feeling so wrong
never to hear
that pure virgin's song
hoping to smile
instead of mourn
longing to fix
those battered and torn
so once you find the certain thing
that makes you fly
and dance and sing
don't let it go
for of all the sad words
of tonue or pen
the saddest are these
it might have been...
