Five Short Words

That in the end could explain more
Than a thousand pages
The first being numb
Because I no longer feel
I don't remember what it's like to be loved
The second- why?
Because I don't know what I did
To deserve the way I feel
And then there is alone
Because nobody knows
Nobody has a clue about the shit I go through
Pain- the fourth word
Because pain is all I know
And for that I will always bleed
Lastly, there is die
Because sometimes that's what I feel like doing
If only to make it all go away
Those five short words
Written in my own blood
To remind me forever that I am nothing |
