» Poem: The HiGhS and LoWs
The HiGhS and LoWs
written by TAINTEDSOULisBACK
07:06 AM 1/2/05
A bird hops upon my windowsill,
and chirps about his day,
I marvel at his bravery,
but my mind is far away.

I'm thinking of you.
"You don't need him,
you know it's true,"
tweets the bird.

But though I don't need it,
I want you.
You make me happy,
you make the sky blue.

So I shoo the happy little bird away,
hoping he's gone for the rest of my days,
'Cause I love you more than it shows,
and the highs with you soar above the lows.
