Somewhere Better

Staring blankly at the world below
Wishing I had someplace better to be
A place that's free of misery
Unfortunately, this place will never appear
Instead, I'm afraid I'll be stuck right here
Grudgingly I accept what's true
I'm never going to be happy like you
I'll never look forward to another day
Why can't I just go away
I don't even care if I have to die
Just to go somewhere better where I don't have to lie |

I actually wrote this on December 4, 2004, but I just found it last night in my old notebook. I'm pretty sure I wrote it on the bench at school.
