» Poem: My Room
My Room
written by cryptic_misery

Sometimes I feel like
My pillow is my only friend
And the walls are the only ones who listen
The roof is the only thing watching over me
And the floor beneath me
Is the only one holding me up
The sheets keep me protected from harm
My bed holds my soul and my heart together
Pictures keep the loved ones near
While paintings keep the colors alive
The poems trap my deepest thoughts
And the posters gaurd me from the outside
If I feel I can go no where
I can stay in my world
Lost never wanting to be found
Alone with my shadow in my room

Author's footnotes and comments on this Poem:
Sometimes I feel I have nothing, and I feel that I can't go anywhere. even with all the options open for me, there's still nothing there. In my room everything is me, everything explains who I am, so it's where I feel the safest, until I can lay in the arms of true love with Tony
