» Poem: The last Battle
The last Battle
written by intearsforever
05:05 PM 1/6/05
The rain crashes against the glass,
The clouds are moving fast,
Tonight is a gloomy night,
tonight I shall win the fight.
Tonight I shall take my victory,
and I shall win this fight,
and walk away into the dark, and lonely night.

You raise the sword,
and I move forward,
I take my hand to the blade,
and watch as a cut is made.
The blood trickles from my fingers to the ground,
Tonight you shall not be found.

You watch my blood drip,
You try to regrain your grip,
But I stop you fast,
Tonight I will take your past.
I will take it all,
and watch with no regret,
As you fall.

Once more you take a shot,
Remember this isn't the first time we have fought.
Though I lost the many battles before this one,
Because I was weak,
Because I gave mercy, well, tonight I shall give none.

That was your last and final shot,
and now you have been caught,
caught by me,
and now watch me take you down,
Tonight you shall not be found.

I catch the sword before it lands against my chest,
That was never your best,
But tonight I show no mercy,
tonight I shall win this fight,
tonight I shall walk alone into the night,
With this victory won,
Knowing this had to be done.

I push the sword your way,
throwing your life away,
Now I shall be ok,
You fall,
I have no regret at all.
There you lie,
This is your last goodbye.
