Beneath My Smile

Is pain that’s so difficult to share
Beneath my smile
Is loneliness I cannot bare
Smiling on the outside
Hiding my pain with a grin
When inside im crying for help
I cannot tell them of the pain within
They see the scars
I don’t bother to lie
They just say oh that’s cool
Even when I say I want to die
When I want help
You aren’t there
When I don’t want help
You pretend you care
They keep all these secrets
They say I must keep secrets too
But all I want is for someone to listen
I want to hear something that is true
They’ve all forgotten about me
Im just a chameleon,blending in
Crying out for help inside
But hiding my pain with a grin. |
