Gothic Wings

My Gothic Wings are poking out,
So I can fly away from this mess,
Who's choking now?
Not an angel, nor demon, nor fairie,
You can't hurt, nor defeate me,
I can fly away but I still carry,
Your heart and love with me.
No magic, no hoax, no trick,
No spells or possession,
Yet I fly deprived and sick,
You're my love sick obssession.
Beautiful, but untouchable,
My violet tears start to pour,
My screams are unhushable,
I'm so happy to be yours.
I don't know how long it's been,
Since I last tasted your kiss,
Although, I feel you in my veins and skin,
It's your sweet touch and taste that I miss.
I fly with you in a pure sence,
That our love loosens the strife,
Though, we'll forever be friends,
I can't give you away in my life.
You are my fire, air, feel, and rain,
My body feels you in every part,
You have healed my wounds and pain,
But you'll forever have my heart.
You are what makes me pretty,
What makes me the real me shine through,
Now no one can get to me,
Except for someone perfect like you.
You take consideration and pride,
You love my look and Gothic complexion,
You love who I am inside,
You find beauty in my imperfections.
Where do I come from?
Could always hang above me,
But now I have someone,
To befriend and love me.
You're everything I have and need,
I had to swallow my pride,
So hard to see the inner me,
I'm so hollow inside.
You saved me,
From life's deadly things,
You gave me,
My Gothic Wings. |

This poem was written right before a break-up with the ONLY guy who ever loved me.......... and the ONLY guy I ever loved. I have dedicated my life & love to him, even now...... when we are no longer together. He is a part of my life. He will ALWAYS be my friend, but deep down inside...........I will always love him.

| This was a fantastic poem...it reminds me of my boyfriend that I have now...I loved it so much! Keep writing. I hope that maybe one day you guys can get back together...it sounds like you love him a lot. |
