Dearly dead

News that I never thought that I would hear.
I don’t know what to think.
Thought of my childhood running though my head
They say that there are three stages you go though
When you receive bad news
But even after all this time I only felt one
Disappointment
Disappointment , for myself
So many things I could have done
So many things I should have done
Maybe if I had picked up the phone
Maybe if I had visited once the situation would have been different
I am told don’t blame myself
You died through natural courses
But both you and I know the truth
You died from a broken heart
I know I wasn’t your favourite
That is rubbed into my face at every opportunity they get
But even if I am not your favourite
I still miss the time we spent together
If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t be the person I am now
And for that all I can do is thank you.
What ever they say I want you to know you will always have a special place in my heart
And no matter how long it takes I will see you again one day
I know you are smiling down on me.
And it is you who has helped me to get my life in perspective
I now know what is important in my life now
My family and my angel
The only people I ever loved the only people I ever can love
I has been a difficult time but you have helped me through it
All I can say now is rest in piece my beloved and hope to see you one day |
