A Grain of Sand In Salt
written by Shayne12:42 AM 1/11/05Does anyone have any good anymore?
We're all hating and bleeding in pain
It seems that peace can only come in war
A single country hiding in shame
It hurts to think that we have killed
We break families in two
Two countries in a clash of wills
And all because of you
I can't stand to think of what you've done
It makes me feel wrong inside
To think that you have hurt someone
Makes me wish you'd helped me die
I didn't want to be led by you
But it seemed I had no choice
When age determines who you are
What happened to my voice?
It's not like I have a smaller mind
Just lesser time to learn
At times I know more than you think
And my leadership, I earned
I don't think that you deserve this role
I think there's others who would do
A job that keeps us all in whole
A better job than you
Next time you have to make a choice
Remember who you are
Just one inside a great machine
A grain of sand in salt |
