» Poem: Mended
Mended
written by Shayne
12:48 AM 1/11/05
A shadow when the darkness falls
Masks everything in night
Inside you I see a light that glows
Showing wrong from all your right

It's like your angel's halo's wings
It doesn't quite belong to you
But it compliments my feelings well
The ones I have for you

I don't think I should feel this way
I think it's much too soon
But I'll never know if I don't try
I just don't want to be alone

It's like that when you lose someone
You get used to how it was
You want someone to fill the void
Make everything more fun

I wish I could tell this all to you
But there's someone in the way
And her, I also care about
Why can't this be okay?

There was that time you saw me cry
And your comfort never came
So I pushed them back and wiped my eyes
And never showed you all my shame

I said I don't believe in love
You said that wouldn't last
But that was only days ago
How could this change so fast?

I'll write this over on and on
A train wreck round the bend
It's you I'm thinking of right now
It seems that hearts do mend
