Alone

But I couldn’t let it show
All these things I’ve seen and done
Well, you wouldn’t want to know
I’ve seen some things that would make your head spin
What’s with this world we live in?
Could you ever trust someone who’s seen it all?
I won’t hide behind a smile
When sometimes I feel dead inside
You never let me down and were always by my side
I know I’ve got a friend in you
And that you’ll always be true
Could you ever love someone who’s lived a lie?
I was only twelve when I picked up my first gun
But I know life’s a bitch when you’re always on the run
Don’t try to change a man who likes it on his own
Just remember he grew up heart-broken and alone |
