Deserved Appreciation

Look up to you
Want to be you
But how can I
When I can’t trust you
Every feeling
Every word
It’s real
You know everything about me
About my friends
About my life
And what do I know of you?
Nothing.
That is all you wish to share
When I don’t behave as you wish
You threaten me with empty promises
You’re trying to make me like you more
But that’s it
You can’t try
Be yourself
And let me know the real you
So I appreciate you like I should |
