Checkmate
written by twistedmind3311:09 PM 1/22/05You’re screaming and yelling
You tell me they aren’t good enough for me
How could you?
These are my friends
They keep me sane
And they love me
I don’t care what you say about their looks
If anyone’s not good enough
It’s me
These people are beautiful
The have power
And they know who they are
If only I could be like them…
But
NO!
You won’t allow it
I’m not your property
You need to accept I can think too
You’ve always trusted my decisions before
So why don’t you trust them now?
When the odds are against you
And I’ve just called checkmate. |
