Breathe

the shit we're going through
take a deep breath,
let go of my hand....
do you feel weight lifting
off your shoulders,
did you sigh a sigh of relief?
no matter how much it hurts
to let me go.....
is something telling you
to do it anyway?
why do you continue to hold your breath
when you know you have to breathe?
loosen your grip on my hand,
and pull away.....
take a step back,
and see what this is doing......
and kiss your pain goodbye..... |
