» Poem: Drift Away
Drift Away
written by Trapezium
11:38 AM 1/23/05
Watch me as I drift away,
On clouds of sorrow and despair,
I back down, and face the freedom with contempt,
Staring into the eyes of darkness,
And tears falling from my mind.

I can't make a world of difference,
But my stone-cold hard can fade,
And change the face of individuals.
Why do you insist on using derigatory terms,
To knock me back down,
When I stand up taller than before?

I could breathe ice, and melt the cold,
I'd burn you to lower your position,
But just because I'm distant,
I still mean more than you,
So watch me as I drift away,
And remember the power of the forgotten.
