» Poem: My Fallen Angel |
My Fallen Angel
written by CrzyAnml666606:38 AM 1/24/05When I first saw you
It was like a spell
It seemed we'd be bound together
Through heaven or through hell.
Your eyes, they were like diamonds
They'd sparkle with your joy
As the longing months moved on
Of our love, that wouldn't quit
It seemed your beautiful eyes
Had dimmed a bit.
You said it was the darkness
that surrounded me in the light;
I wanted to believe that it was
the removal of my sight.
You cried and begged me
reach out for my touch;
I couldn't understand you,
or why you needed me so much.
When you fell to your knees
and softly muttered there in pain;
I lifted my eyes up and away,
looking for the angry, bitter rain.
Whirlwinds of rage and anger,
swept your heart coldly aside;
Pleading and reasoning fell
within the tears that one of us cried.
Listening for a sound,
anyone will do;
silence is my only friend
that and the memories of you.
As your love faded,
Like the mist of a morning shower,
The spark was just not there
The end was far too near
For me to come and help,
Drive away your fear.
Though we are no more
My love burns for you, like fire
And when you are gone far away
Just remember you are my fallen angel,
And I loved you anyway.
