Amused
written by Trapezium06:55 PM 1/25/05You look down on me
And try to beat me to the ground,
You attempt to cut me with your words
But those words are blunt
And bend, like a thin sheet of rubber.
You mock me, and laugh at my mistakes
All the while, not realising how much I've helped you
I know you're insecure inside
But why do you take it out on me?
You act like royalty
And trample on anyone underfoot.
I believed your lies, once upon a time
And now, as I see through your disguise
You just try to bring me down.
I guess you'll never realise
Your words only belittle you,
And when you sit on your high horse
I'm safe, knowing that my tower is higher than any animal. |
