» Poem: path of thorns
path of thorns
written by bloodlyvalentine
07:39 PM 1/25/05
my feet are a mass of blood,
a mass of everlasting pain.
and i walk on
through these thorns
they are alive,
screaming at me,
clawing at me.
the roses they hold,
they lied to me
lured me into this hell.
they called to me,
there scent so sweet.
death wears the guise
of inhumane beauty.
i cant find the end
of this blood sodden path
i cant see the light
in this deathly dark,
and these thorns jab at me all the time
they mock me,
knowing that they torture me
just enough,
so that i can see death
but not reach it.
