Like a River Without a Dam

Nothing at all
Not since they
Just watched me fall
My soul does not cry
Unlike the child that screams
No one cared
That's how it seems
My blood just flows
Like a river without a dam
The river flows right around
The part of me that still stands
Consuming the rest of me
I'm not gripping life
I let it go with my will
I gave up the fight
There I lay
Seeming lifeless to view
I feel more alive
Now that I'm not with you
There's something I have to say
I let go and now you must
You're a lie and they all see
You're the one they cannot trust
Don't pretend you cared
When you didn't know me
I don't want to be mourned at all
So let my body be
I moved on
You must soon
Live your lives
Because I did not want to
I hated that world
That I view from a far
Then I remember
I still have a scar
Forever imprinted
Inside and out
And I still remember
Where it came about
Over there in that place
Where peace and war combine
They fight among themselves
It might seem bad but it is right
A world without chaos
Is tormented by peace
I've seen what it looks like
Even though you won't cease
So don't mourn for me
I'm fine where I am
I've shown you what it looks like if
My blood didn't flow like a river without a dam |

Wrote this January 25th, 2005 in my 6th period study hall, it took about 15 minutes to write, it was writen around 12:30 on the date. Livi plain loved it, Hannah thought it was sad but loved it anyway. The meanings are: 'don't mourn for me,' 'you're a fake,' 'the world needs chaos to be perfect,' and 'I've shown you now remember my words.' Hope you enjoy it.
