tombs of the living
written by love_induced_chaos02:46 AM 1/26/05undigging the tombs, burried in a head, speaking to the ghost, thought long past dead. walking with a corpse, reaching for a rotting hand. "come with me it says." such an intriguing demand. again the creature beckons,"come along, enjoy sheer bliss. what is on this worthless earth, that you shall ever miss?" the mind focuses on the pain, and forgets what made you smile, no longer is the smell of rain, the slightest bit worth while. forgetting of the memories, once held oh so dear, the past becomes a cloudy haze, the future oh so clear. leave this retched life behind, and enjoy the after, close this heart from all the hurt and welcome in the laughter. you're drawing near to that pre-marked tomb, your name upon the head, when you're awoken from your peircing screams, you sit up in your bed. wrapped up in your best friend's arms, who stayed with you tonight. comforted in that warm embrace, forgetting of your fright. now realizing that love is there, if only but that one,you thank the lord your still alive, to see the dawning sun. |
