» Poem: violin
violin

I hear a noise
so sweet like
a candy bar
waiting to be eaten.

I found the sweet noise!
It comes from a brown
instrument, it kind of
looks like a mini guitar.

as I watch her play,
so gracefully
like a swan floats
across the lake.

I watch the bow glide
across the string
just like people dancing
at a fancy ball

she stops playing
and looks me right
in the eyes-
I look back with a
welcoming smile.

I ask her what she
answers so calmly
just like rain fall
so swiftly.

she states it is called
a violin and now
I play just as gracefully
only took me 6 years
to get here.

My life is a lot calmer
as a lake untouched
now I play with grace
as I drift in the music
and go to sleep.
