» Poem: doll
doll
written by devilchild01

The doll she clings to is tattered and ripped and yet she loves her little doll,
As she remains the only one who understands.
Her doll brings her ear to the girl’s mouth and listens as she pours out her troubles.
The little girl has secrets that lay within, her voice unheard by a living soul.
The little girl made to dress in clothes of torn material.
No one sees past the way she looks. They only take in the bruises, cuts and rags
Then decide she’s trouble so they keep away.
Which is why her only friend is a doll unable to speak.
