» Poem: The mourning Dew
The mourning Dew
written by whatShouldUsBe
05:15 AM 1/28/05
Undue is my favor of enternal trust
risen from the depths of everlasting lust
how could I believe your beautiful lies
hidden behind your hypnotic eyes
within the dreary morning dew
I first laid my eyes on you
dawn held the image oh to clear
as I bent to hold you near
and then the dew was dripping down
and I felt the tears as I started to frown
but then the next day
instead of the dew to halt my way
I saw you
and I was not sure what I should do
so I turned and fled
to rest in bed
I couldn't get you out of my mind
then I knew you really were one of a kind
So I went back to where I found the dew
in hopes of seeing you
but instead of seeing you
I saw the dreary mourning dew
and once again laid eyes on you
since the sweet dawn held the image clear
I once again felt you near
as I faded into the darkness drowning in my tears.
