Ode to Dying
written by EbonySeraph09:28 PM 1/28/05Death, how you betray even the slenderest of hands
As they dip quill pens into dry inkwells and scratch on lined paper broken suicide notes
Trembling and searching for the words that will hurt the least
When pale body is found bleeding...
Tender is the moment when lovers share their first kiss
Arms entwined in one last embrace before the shadows creep and beguile them into sleeping...
While ceramic oceans wash away the pain
And the hopelessness passes into abrasive autumn
With golden halo and silver wings
Je vous aime, avec tout mon coeur
Now light, with your filmy mesh hands
Stroking the hair of the wounded while crooning softly
To the child... |
