» Poem: Quis separabit, omnia vincit amor
Quis separabit, omnia vincit amor
written by EbonySeraph

I know...you speak...to me
And you must feel a thousand miles away..
As if speaking through cup's with string tied through them
Only the echo remains..
Of what once held such meaning
'Is there anything left?' you ask me..
And though I have no answer
I can always take your hand and...
Lead you to the river
Stoop down and scoop water
Write on brittle paper
And watch the sun set
As it must have set
A million times before we sat here
On the bank...
Skipping stones like throwing pennies..
Cracked windows letting the sun shine through...
Filtering the dust and smoke from
The last cigarette of the day...
And when, if then, you ask me
This is what I will say I think of
When I think of you...
