» Poem: Shaking Shoulders Silent
Shaking Shoulders Silent
written by EbonySeraph

You....

You are everything to me....
And yet, nothing...
For once a moment in your arms meant everything
To die for
To cry for
Now, as the rain drips from the heavens
And I stare into your eyes...so blind
I wish for the turning back of time...

You....

You mean more than life to me....
Or at least once you did, you see...
Now, as I have changed, and you have stayed the same
Life holds no more meaning...
I guess this one's for believing
What was there to believe in..for me...

And you....

How often were there times when I could but gaze
Tenderly and longingly
Into your eyes, pale blue
I would wonder what I would do...
Without you...and now....
As I offer you my coat, to render shaking shoulders silent..
The rain melts into your hair and ... you seem so peaceful
As if the coming storm means nothing
You are without me....
And I am without you...

And for you....

I gave you everything....
But now, I have nothing more to give...
