Someone Elses Memories

As your wings burned up
And your heart burst open
Shedding tears like rain and…
There was something I forgot to ask you
Before you hit the ground
To be picked up by followers who
Like me, once believed in angels
Until they saw them dying
Falling
Fading
Crying
Cracked upon manmade pavement
Dead upon manmade church
You call me at eleven and ask me
If I will come over…
I always believed in Heaven
But I never believed in you
I wonder now what would have happened
If you were the same way too… |
