I'm not you

and i want a moment to be real
i want to be here without you
i want to stand on my own two feet
for once, why cant you stay the same?
you keep changing your mind at the drop of a pin
cant you ever let me win?
i'm not afraid
i want to be who i am
let me be
you cant break me, no matter what you do
i'll be your fence
keeping everything out, nothing allowed in
nothing can touch me
i'll just rust into oblivion
but you cant tell me who to be
becasue i know what i am
i'll be better when i'm older
but for now, let be be alone |
