» Poem: A Heart's Desire
A Heart's Desire
written by boom_boom13

Diamond hearts,
Golden rings,
Glass teacups,
And shiny things.
But to many that is a heart's desire,
But that isn't what makes my heart fire.
The beauty of love isn't touched or seen.
It's felt, and it's within.
So diamond hearts,
Golden rings,
Glass teacups,
And shiny things
Aren't what interest me the most.
In fact, they aren't even close.
A true heart's desire is the burn,
And the patience to wait your turn.
